Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Child Suffering from Coronavirus

Many of our patients are asking if we're going to stay open. The short answer is YES. As long as we're able to, our doors will remain open. Let me explain why:

We are able to help our patients with pain and injury by providing a thorough examination and evidence-based treatment or referral, as appropriate. We regularly co-manage patients with their medical physicians and other providers. In the coming days we are well aware that our medical colleagues are going to be overwhelmed with patients who are sick, or afraid they are sick, with COVID-19. Unfortunately, the nearly 40% of their patients who are experiencing non-urgent aches, pains, and injuries aren't going to disappear to make room for the sick. They need to go somewhere.

We are staying open so those in pain have somewhere to go. Somewhere that they can receive the treatment they need in the midst of all the madness. We are accustomed to dealing with proper sanitizing practices due to the constant presence of flu, MRSA, and other infectious diseases. In light of the present circumstances we have enhanced our cleaning protocols to ensure we do as much as possible to prevent the spread of any disease in our offices.

We are asking those who are experiencing cold symptoms to reschedule their appointments, and we are screening everyone who walks through our doors for signs of illness. We're asking everyone to wash their hands upon arrival. We have also established dedicated hours for our higher-risk patients who may be immunocompromised.

To our patients: We are still here and will continue to be here as long as we're able. To our medical colleagues and friends: We are here to support you in any way we can. Please lean on us when you need us.

If you're sick, please see a medical doctor. If you're injured, please see a chiropractor. If you don't yet have a chiropractor, feel free to come see us. Alternatively, we're also happy to recommend a trusted colleague that is more convenient for you.

Sincerely,

Brian Morrison DC and The Morrison Chiropractic Team
