Donna is a graduate of the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) (formerly Tai Sophia Institute) with a Master of Science in Therapeutic Herbalism and a Post-Master's Certificate in Clinical Herbalism. As a Western herbalist, she combines the best of traditional and scientific herbal practices to partner with you to create a personalized strategy that addresses your individual needs. She believes in empowering you to take charge of your own health and discover your own strength to make positive shifts toward a better sense of well being.
Donna will create a comprehensive, custom treatment strategy that includes lifestyle and dietary recommendations as well as an herbal formulation (or two) that you can have compounded at the MUIH Herbal Dispensary. Kate has been serving the Montgomery and Howard county communities as an acupuncturist since earning her master’s degree from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2003. She holds a national acupuncture certification through NCCAOM, and she is a graduate of Loyola College of Maryland. She supports patients with a wide variety of complaints including but not limited to anxiety, depression and other emotional challenges, Lyme disease, joint pain, back pain, fertility and menopausal symptoms.
Kate uses acupuncture, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching to bring about healing in her patients. Kate is a lover of both art and science. A lifelong artist Kate uses watercolor and oil paint to explore the beauty of the natural world. As a scientist Kate received several Intramural Trainee Awards for conducting research in cell and molecular biology at the National Institute for Mental Health and the National Cancer Institute. Also, she was a part of a team which conducted a successful study of the use of acupuncture for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in active duty soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. These experiences have given Kate an appreciation for the complexity and creativity of life. Kate regards the practice of acupuncture as an art form harnessing the innate power of our body, mind, and spirit to bring about healing.

Pat has been teaching yoga since 2003, and has been practicing Occupational Therapy for over 30 years. She has worked with clients with arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, Parkinson's Disease, cancer, orthopedic, neurological, and mental health disorders. Her specialties include pain management and healthy aging. In group and individual sessions, Pat links breath with movement to decrease pain and increase positive energy. She completed a yoga therapy training program in 2011. Her unique blend of yoga poses, breathing techniques, relaxation, and meditation is restorative and therapeutic, as well as fun!
Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and wellbeing through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga.
